Prof. Luqman Chuah Abdullah

Biography: Professor Dr. Luqman Chuah Abdullah has obtained his B.E. degree in Chemical Engineering, from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and PhD degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. His research areas include chemical processing, material engineering (polymers and nanomaterials), oleochemical and environmental engineering. He is currently a Professor at the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). As an active researcher, he has published more than 600 publications of journals, proceedings, books, and technical articles in the various fields of chemical, material, and environmental engineering. He was awarded with Top Research Scientists Malaysia (TRSM) by the Academic of Science Malaysia (ASM), 2013; Malaysia Rising Star Award by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, and was selected as the World's Top 2% Scientists in categories of Career-Long Citation Indexed and Citation Impact in Single calendar Year, 2019, Stanford University, USA. He is currently Editor in Chief of Pertanika Journal of Science and Technology and Editorial Member of Journal of Chemistry, Hindawi Publishing Corporation.

Prof. Liang Guo

Ocean University of China, China

BiographyGuo Liang, Professor, doctoral Supervisor. In 2017, he was selected as the first "International clean Energy Talents" program in China, and was awarded the excellent academic thesis Advisor of Shandong Province for many times. He has carried out visiting study and collaborative research in the United Kingdom, Sweden and the United States. He has presided over 3 national funds, 3 provincial and ministerial funds, and 7 Qingdao Science and technology programs. He has published more than 90 papers as the first or corresponding author, including more than 80 SCI papers; The total number of citations to SCI papers is more than 4800 times, H-index=39. He has won the second prize of Marine Engineering Science and technology, the 15th "Tiantai Outstanding Talent Award, the third" Furong Students "academic research Award, the first" Sangde Environmental Award "Grand Prize" and so on.

Assoc. Prof. Rongkui Su 

Central South University of Forestry and Technology, China

Biography: Rongkui Su, Doctor, Postdoctoral Researcher, Professor, and long-term researcher in the field of environmental functional materials for pollution reduction and carbon mitigation, as well as the resource utilization of agricultural and forestry waste. He has led over 10 national and provincial-level research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Youth Program), the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and the Hunan Provincial Natural Science Foundation. He has published over 40 SCI papers as the first author or corresponding author, including 2 papers in high-impact journals (NI-index), 4 ESI Highly Cited Papers, and 1 Hot Paper. He has authored a monograph and holds 10 authorized patents and 15 registered software copyrights. He serves as a reviewer for internationally renowned journals such as Chemical Communications and Chemical Engineering Journal, as well as a Youth Editorial Board member for Rare Metals, Petroleum Refining & Petrochemicals, and Ecology and Rural Environment Journal. He is also a guest editor for SCI journals like IJERPH and Water, and has been invited as a visiting scholar at Peking University and Yale University.

Prof. Muhammad Ishtiaq Ali

Quaid-i-Azam University, Pakistan

Biography: Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ishtiaq Ali, a distinguished scholar and administrator at Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad, stands at the forefront of applied and environmental microbiology, pioneering transformative research in bioremediation, bioenergy, and sustainable waste-to-resource technologies. With a Ph.D. in Microbiology (QAU) and postdoctoral training at the University of New South Wales, Australia, his career spans over two decades of groundbreaking contributions to microbial biotechnology, including the biodegradation of synthetic polymers, biochar applications for soil remediation, and renewable energy solutions from organic waste. As a prolific academic leader, Dr. Ali has mentored 75 MPhil and 12 PhD graduates, fostering a new generation of scientists dedicated to solving global environmental challenges. His administrative acumen is reflected in his roles as Director of the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC) and Director of Academics at QAU, where he spearheads initiatives to enhance research quality, academic governance, and international collaborations. His leadership extends to over 20 institutional committees, including pivotal roles in pandemic management as Focal Person for COVID-19 response and as a liaison for international student programs.

Dr. Ali’s research portfolio, supported by competitive grants exceeding PKR 30 million, has yielded over 100 high-impact publications in journals such as Fuel (IF: 8.035), Journal of Hazardous Materials (IF: 14.224), and Renewable & Sustainable Energy Reviews (IF: 16.799). His innovative work on biochar-mediated soil remediation and microbial coal-to-methane conversion has direct implications for sustainable agriculture and energy security in resource-constrained regions. Beyond academia, his civic engagement shines through community-driven projects addressing antimicrobial resistance, wastewater treatment, and public health awareness, bridging laboratory discoveries with societal needs.

A recipient of the Microbiology Gold Medal and member of the Pakistan Academy of Sciences, Dr. Ali’s legacy lies in his relentless pursuit of knowledge translation—turning scientific insights into scalable solutions. His global collaborations, spanning institutions in China, Australia, and the EU, underscore his commitment to fostering international scientific dialogue. Through his multifaceted contributions, Dr. Ali exemplifies the fusion of academic excellence, administrative innovation, and community-driven science, positioning Pakistan at the forefront of sustainable development and environmental stewardship.

Assoc. Prof. NOOR FITRAH BINTI ABU BAKAR

Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia

Biography: Dr. Noor Fitrah Abu Bakar is an Associate Professor at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UTM), specializing in Chemical Engineering. She holds a PhD in Engineering from Tokyo University of Agriculture & Technology, an MSc in Environmental Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, and a BEng in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She is also a Professional Engineer registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia. Her research focuses on nanotechnology, chemical processes, and environmental applications, with active involvement in multiple research projects funded by grants. She has published extensively in indexed journals and supervised numerous postgraduate students. Dr. Fitrah also engages in industry consultations and collaborative initiatives, contributing to both academic and practical advancements in her field.

Prof. Baoyou Liu

Hebei University of Science & Technology, China

Biography: Baoyou Liu, male, born in February 1973, holds a doctoral degree and is a professor. He is also a master's supervisor in Environmental Science and Engineering at Hebei University of Science and Technology. In terms of environmental monitoring and environmental remediation, he has mainly carried out research on the remediation and treatment technology of SO2, NOx, CO2, NH3 and VOC in the atmosphere, the remediation technology of heavy metals such as copper, cadmium, lead and zinc in the soil, and the monitoring technology of typical environmental pollutants. As the first author or corresponding author, he has published more than 20 research papers in critical reviews in environmental science and technology, separation and purification technology, ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING SCIENCE, Journal of Safety and Environment and other domestic and foreign journals, including 7 SCI search papers, including 2 SCI Chinese Academy of Sciences Zone 1 papers, and 6 Chinese invention patents have been authorized.

Assis. Prof. Nirban Laskar

Mizoram University, Aizawl, India

Biography: Dr. Nirban Laskar is an assistant professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Mizoram University, India. Prior to this position, he was a faculty member at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Mizoram from February 2018 to December 2019. Dr. Laskar completed his PhD at NIT Silchar, focusing on consultancy and laboratory works, from September 2014 to January 2018. In addition to his academic endeavors, Dr. Laskar has been actively involved in various consultation projects that highlight his expertise in civil engineering. His significant contributions include third-party monitoring of academic buildings and hostels at Mizoram University, conducting structural safety inspections, and participating in the Jal Jeevan Mission. He has also played a key role in several irrigation minor projects.
